An extraordinary station building that include both a shopping mall and office.

The new station building in Sickla will be a modern and architectural building with 25 floors. A station house with state-of-the-art offices that really stands out from the crowd! The new station house will be a centerpiece and important part of Sickla.

Below ground level, a parking garage with over 2500 spaces will be built with charging stations for electric cars and parking for bicycles. The entrance to the new metro entrance will be from the ground floor. This floor will also house a shop, café and restaurant.

On the floors above the station level, there will be modern and open offices, conference rooms and restaurants. The 11th and 16th floors of the building will have terraces with lush green plants. The roof will be covered by a large

terrace with outstanding views of Stockholm. The workplaces in the building are adapted and created with great awareness for health, well-being and wellness. The entire building has environmental and sustainable construction in focus. This is evident in the choice of materials, from the choice of climate-reduced concrete to the use of sustainable and climate-smart materials in the building. The building will receive BREEAM Excellent environmental certification.

Peikko was involved at an early stage in the process, already in 2018 our designers worked on dimensioning DELTABEAM® for the building. Peikko's DELTABEAM® Frame solution will be an important part of the building's construction. It has been carefully designed and adapted to the needs of the building. Peikko has worked intensively to design the most optimal solution based on the architecture of the building. The first floors are made of the DELTABEAM® Frame interlocking structure. They include both beams and columns. Some of the columns are exceptionally large, with weights of over 6.5 tons and diameters of 0.7 meters. Additional floors in the building will also contain DELTABEAM®. Construction is underway and is expected to be ready for occupation in 2025.
